Great strides are being made to increase diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within clinical trials to more closely reflect real-world patient populations. To understand a drug as fully as possible, researchers must study it in a broad range of patients, specifically including transgender and nonbinary communities, to reflect the patient population that will ultimately be treated.
